    My favorite family tradition for the holidays is cooking and baking with my family and having a fun gift exchange!

    Try to get together for Christmas dinner. Last year BIL in hospital, so couldn’t. Had a major stoke.

    My favorite tradition is that on Christmas Eve, my family and I go to early mass. My brother and his family meet us there. After mass, everyone heads to my house to enjoy dinner and celebrate Christmas.

    1. That’s exciting! We meet up at our extended family’s house to exchange presents on Christmas Eve as well! Oh and the food! Gotta fill our tummies!

    My favorite tradition is putting up the tree with my daughter and watching Christmas movies! She’ll be coming home from college in two weeks and we’ll put the tree up then.

  8. It’s a morning of opening a “few” presents, sledding with the kids, big turkey lunch/dinner and then finish off the evening with opening the rest of the presents and relaxing.

  14. I remember my Mom lining the 4 of us in the hallway so that when we “turned the corner” to enter the living room where the tree was – Dad would be there with the tape recorder. In those days, that was coupled with retina blinding flood lights!

    On my dads side we open gifts Christmas Eve. On my moms side we have breakfast, open gifts then lunch on Christmas. My mom used to spend Christmas Eve night with her grandparents- it was all their kids and grandkids.

  37. I am thankful for God and all His wonderful gifts to the world! It’s not a “tradition”, per se, but we always go to Holy Mass for Christmas (and on all Sundays and Holydays) to celebrate our Lord and His loving kindness and mercy. He is the BEST Gift of all! Thanks and God Bless!

    We have a couple of favorites in our family – we gather in the kitchen cooking holiday treats and take them to those who are less fortunate. On Christmas morning our family takes treats to the animal shelter and helps those that have to work so they can get back to family and enjoy the day!

    On Christmas Eve, we have family and friends stop over throughout the day. I cook a lot of food and get sandwich trays and veggie trays. We play board games and watch movies. It is fun and relaxed and all day.

    My favorite holiday tradition – We all go to my Mom’s house with food and gifts, Pray and Eat. Then, we read the story of Jesus’ birth and open gifts. After that, we talk and eat until we have to drag ourselves outside to go home. =)
